Poets from MSU and the greater Lansing community will write and perform poetry about the cultural, environmental, personal, and political issues around food. They will compete for three cash prizes, and the top poets will be selected by community judges from the audience. This 6th installation of the poetry slam is hosted by Natasha T. Miller, the MSU Museum’s Community Engagement Manager and Women of the World Poetry Slam 3 -time top-five finalist, in partnership with the RCAH Center for Poetry.
The MSU Museum CoLab Studio is pleased to present a slate of programs and events in conjunction with the Food Fight! exhibition on display in the Main Gallery from January 9th to June 29th, 2024. The exhibition and programming explore the themes of global food security, food production and consumption, and our complex relationships with food.
